Opera Garnier, Pigalle, Grand Department Stores
What we like about the 9e:
Opera Garnier Our Tour of the (Old) Paris Opera House
Chez Chariter
Consistently listed as a favorite among Paris Restaurants as affordable and historic
We have been to Chartier and sharing a table there with other diners is an experience worth returning to
Théâtre Mogador
During 2014 we enjoyed concerts in 2 churches, affordable performances in wonderful venues
In 2015 we purchased tickets directly through a music hall for Roman Pulanski’s Le Bal Des Vampires
(an evolution of the 2002 Broadway “bust”)
It marries vampires with Paris and this 100 year-old music hall
perhaps reminiscent of a chapter from Interview with the Vampire (Anne Rice)
Les Domaines Qui Montent
We like this Wine Shop with multiple Paris locations.
They serve a noon Plat de Jour, rotating weekly schedule, but only one meal choice each day
(with salad, principal plate, choice of desert, cheese or pate/terrine)
There are too many choices in life. So we like the idea of serving one item and serving it well
Place Lili-Boulanger, 75009 Paris (Métro: Place de Clichy / Blanche / Liege)
“So-Pi” South Pigalle
South of Place Pigalle
Le Roi du Pot au Feu (Beef Stew)
(I saw this on the wikitravel map and it should be good)
Pot au Feu is a classic French Dish “pot on the fire” a beef stew cooked over a long period of time
Gallerie Lafayette – I have never been to Gallerie Lafayette (Why?)
