We visit Notre Dame early in the day, usually for the sunrise service on Christmas day
Sainte-Chapelle is a smaller church. We visited for an evening concert when it was dark and we couldn’t appreciate the stained glass windows (which is an important element of Sainte-Chapelle
Last year on Christmas Morning, we stopped into smaller churches (as opposed to the grand cathedrals) to observe their morning services. Much less grandeur, smaller scale, less maintenance and polish, but a loyal congregation, organist and clergy. This opens an opportunity of seemingly unlimited scope, when you consider the number of Churches in Paris which we would visit on Christmas morning
