Les Invalides is a prominant building in Paris
one of those building that you wonder, “What is That”

The complex is located across the Champs de Mars from the Eiffel Tower
Across the Seine on Invalides is linked with the Grand Palais and Petit Palais along a urban axis, joined by the decorative Pont de Alexander III (the prominant bridge with gold embossed features.

The Hôtel national des Invalides (The National Residence of the Invalids)
was initially established to house and care for aged and unwell soldiers with 20 years of military experience
Initiated by Louis XIV in 1670
He also commissioned a domed royal chapel (Église du Dôme)

Most of the residents were dispersed in 1905

the traditional morning prayer of the Western Church, constituting with matins the first of the seven canonical hours
derived from the three last psalms in the office (148, 149, 150), in all of which the word laudate is repeated frequently, and to such an extent that originally the word Lauds designated the end, that is to say, these three psalms with the conclusion.
The Seven “hours” are: matins and lauds (usually counted as a single hour), in the middle of the night; prime, at sunrise; terce, 9 a.m.; sext, noon; none, 3 p.m.; vespers, sunset; and compline, bedtime.
