Latin Quarter/Pantheon (5 arr.)
We spent our very first night in Paris at La Villa Panthéon (2011)
on a quiet street, slightly removed (east) from the hub-bub of the Latin Quarter
small rooms, small staff, small elevators
(after you bring two sets of luggage into the room, there isn’t much room remaining to sit)
plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars nearby
Located near:
La Panthéon
Maubert Mutualite Market
La Sorbonne
Quirks which we liked:
Lots of Hard Wood, Very Clean and Polished, but slippery floors and sharp edges
Windows opening onto Courtyard
Particularité (Peculiarities)
Our room key was on a heavy metal fob which was to be left in a tray at the front desk. It was uncomfortable for us to leave our room key (out in the open) at the front desk which was often unattended. C’est la vie
Maid Service knocking on doors before check-out time
Fire Alarm went off (maybe this is a good thing)
Grocery:
Very very small convenience stores nearby
We don’t plan to return
but recommend this very nice establishment in a unique area of Paris
Clean and Classy
